Moody Machinery was founded in 1988, as a wholly owned subsidiary of M.D. Moody & Sons, Inc., Florida's oldest and largest equipment dealer. A family owned business, headquartered in Jacksonville, Fl., it was founded by Max Moody Sr. in 1913 to provide for the equipment needs of contractors throughout the state of Florida. The company continued to grow and flourish under the leadership of his son, Max Jr. and additional stores were added in Tampa and Pompano Beach.. Now in the third generation, Max Moody III leads the company into the twenty-first century with even more growth, adding stores in Fort Myers, Fl, Orlando, Fl., ,Mobile, Al., Charlotte, N.C. and Fairburn, Ga. The company also has a marine division, with two shipyards and marine terminals. Other subsidiary companies include Moody Light Equipment Rental, and Moody Fabrication and Machine Shop. Moody's rental fleet of over 650 pieces of construction equipment and over 300 conventional and hydraulic cranes positions the company among the largest operators in the country. We provide construction equipment and parts not only to our customers in Alabama, Georgia North Carolina and Florida, but also throughout the United States, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.
